Securing cables, especially drums, is a major issue on construction sites today. In recent years, there has been a sharp increase in cable theft, due in particular to the significant increase in the price of copper.

Today, construction sites are mainly monitored by security agencies, surveillance cameras, etc., but no solution can monitor the cables constantly and notify response teams in real time.

Solution

We have developed an anti-theft solution for building site cables that informs of attempted thefts in real time, from logistics (delivery) to the cable in operation.

This solution consists of a web platform and sensors:
1) Sensors are installed during all phases of cable use:

To secure the delivery and use of the drums, we use a connected GPS tracker with a pre-integrated motion sensor. All you have to do is set the monitoring times and the location to be monitored.
To secure the installation of the cables, simply connect the cable's two conductors.
To secure cables in live operation, simply attach a GPS tracker around the cable.

2) The platform allows you to manage users and set up alerts
