Galvanic nickel deposits with a phosphorus content of 11% to 13% by mass are used to fill molds using LIGA technologies for production of micromechanical parts.
We need your help to identify:
- either a supplier of galvanic nickel deposits;
- or a research center with the knowledge to develop proprietary grades with comparable or even more advanced properties.
The expected specifications are as follows:
- Mechanical characteristics:
- yield strength at 2% [1700 N/mm²];
- tensile strength [1700 N/mm²];
- elastic modulus [105 Gpa];
- ductility in % elongation : 1-2% -> non-brittle material;
- surface microhardness HV0.5: 530-560 (1000hv after crystallization (heating above 220°C)).
- Chemical characteristics:
- 11-13% mass concentration of phosphorus;
- amorphous (non-crystallized) microstructure.
- Geometric characteristics:
- fills all the molds (from 400 to 6000 per wafer) evenly over the entire surface of a 150 mm diameter wafer;
- thick deposition from 100 to 1000 microns without excessive tension;
- can fill gaps of up to 20 microns in a mold.
- Industrial characteristics:
- reproducible from bath to bath;
- industrialized;
- non-magnetic flat parts can be assembled with a shaft without breaking.
